If you have an old rotary valve engine that deserves to be restored
contact me. I am really good at it and very particular.

Italsistem MV1 1994 update. Likely known as the MV1.1. - MV11. The MV1 was homologated with 4
exhaust port and 4 transfer ports. The MV11 has 3 exhaust ports and
3 transfer ports. ie Oval exhaust and no split in the third transfer
port. The exact configuration of all late model rotary valve
engines. These engines are probably the best quality
100cc aircooled kart engines ever made.
There was a lot of hoohah back then and still today about the first Italsistems. I have a heard a few versions of what happened at homologation with the standard line that they used the term Mondial without permission from the copyright holder. Seriously! Mondial in Italian is like saying Lotus in Chinese or Global in English. The obvious reality is that the engine was built to a standard that other maunfacturers could not match within the homologation wholesale price point. i.e. Italsistem were loosing financially on every engine produced. Hence the low production volume. The guys all ganged up and Italsistem was put under real pressure. Nevertheless, shortly thereafter they were World Champions. Deservedly so. This is a Mondial but with a new cylinder head fitted to make it legal. Shame. The original head most likely contained a ceramic compound combustion chamer. Maybe not. But I would love to have one to know. This engine exudes supreme quality everywhere.
This engine was factory prepared for International competition in 1994. Dimensionally perfect and delivered bored to 99.90 cc. It ran twice in 1994 with good results. Never failed or damaged. Pristine inside.
It came with a factory setup HL360 Tillotson. A lot is made of carbies at great expense but without doubt the HL360 was the best. Tillotson knew what they were doing with far more resources than all others. Simple.
